Q: I just hate auto-centered people like you, but its not about me, and i guess selling yourself is the way to success. highly irritating individually, quite pleasing for the mass. still wish you the best and no burns from your extreme exposure.

nr 1 dont get why this is on gal space. number two, do you feel like a better person now?
congratulations, you are just one of the other jerks in the world that doesn’t do anything to improve the world but love to hate on the people in it. i hope you truly think your little “nice end” to this message made u a truly open and accepting person. and yeah, hating on popular culture is sooooo edgy

Liv Thurley grew up in London but currently based in Brighton were she studies Fine Art Sculpture. Processing personal experiences through her art she commonly touches a more wide spread idea about expectations and idea about females.

How did you get in to making art?
Growing up in London has been influential in my practice. It’s allowed me to meet fellow creative friends and I’m always able to visit a gallery to suit the mood I’m in. Even walking the streets leaves me feeling inspired. I’ve also had some great teachers who have been uplifting.

What artwork that isn’t made by you did you wish was made by you?
Recent research has led to an interest in the work of Sarah Lucas whose work I was lucky enough to see up close at the Sadie Coles collection in London earlier on in the year. Her art often uses primal humour (as seen in ‘Chicken Knickers’) to explore sex, bodies, and time.

If you could erase the existence of one artwork that you made, which one would it be?
I think all my pieces have been beneficial in allowing me to get from one point to another. It’s hard to imagine where I would be now without a certain one. One thing I have learned is that you learn from your mistakes - all of them!

Three words about your work on Soapbox at gal space?
Infused with humour

U can see Sasha’s work tomorrow at Gal in London!!!!!!

Sasha Cresdee grew up in the south of England but is currently based in London. There she attends Fine Art studies at Chelsea university, making kick ass collages reflecting on things like selfies, how youg females create their identities today and loads of other cool stuff ok!

How did you get in to making art?
I can’t remember how or when exactly I got into making art, I had always drawn and taken photographs when I was young and I guess it just started from there.
What artwork that isn’t made by you did you wish was made by you?
There are so many artworks I wish I had made myself. I’m gonna say Helen Chadwick’s Oval Court though cause I love scanning things.
If you could erase the existence of one artwork that you made, which one would it be?
I definitely wouldn’t erase the existence of anything I’ve made in the past. It’s v important to make bad works, and work that you hate, so that you can make the good stuff.
